Bithaus thinks with a local model through Ollama. Everyday chat, questions, and machine work cost nothing, stay private, and run offline. That is the default, forever.

The companion reads your Mac , CPU, memory, disk, processes, scheduled jobs , and acts on it once you arm write access. Every action comes back as a plain-English report, destructive ones ask first, and deletes go to the Trash.

The only traffic that ever goes out is a plain request for public weather and headlines in the morning briefing, and only if you turn it on. Max Mode is the sole exception, and only if you choose to attach your own Claude plan.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You talk to your companion in plain English , "clean up my disk", "what's eating my battery", "how's my money". It does the work and reports back. The power-user hooks are there if you want them, invisible if you do not.
